THIS WEEK FOR ME WAS VERY VERY HARD TO CHOOSE THE PRIDE WRESTLER OF THE WEEK. WE HAD TWO ATHLETES GO TO WYOMING AND WRESTLE VERY HARD AND WE ALSO HAD 7 FIRST PLACES AND MANY WRESTLERS GIVE THERE ALL TO DO VERY WELL. FOR ME IT WAS THE CONTINUED HARD WORK AND EFFORT THAT HERRERA DISPLAYS. HE HAS IMPROVED SO MUCH. AT FIRST I MUST BE HONEST AND SAY I THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO QUIT. THIS IS A VERY TOUGH SPORT AND HE WAS HAVING A HARD TIME. HE GOT HUNGRY AND FOUND WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A CAMPION IN THIS SPORT. HE HAS MANY SECOND PLACES AND NOW HE CAN ADD A GOLD MEDAL TO THAT TALLY. IT FELT VERY GOOD TO WATCH THIS YOUNG MAN DO SO WELL. HE ALWAYS GIVES 100 PERCENT BOTH AT PRACTICE AND THE TOURNAMENTS. HE HAS IMPROVED HIS RECORD TO ALMOST 50 PERCENT WHICH IS VERY TOUGH. QUIENTEN YOUR EFFORTS ON THIS DAY WERE UNMATCHED AND YOUR WILL TO BE THE BEST IS AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL. WE ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU. PRIDE IS WHAT YOU HAVE
I KNOW I WASNT GOING TO EVER PUT MORE THAN ONE WRESTLER PER WEEK. BUT THIS WEEK THESE TWO YOUNG WRESTLERS DID A STAND UP JOB. FOR EMILIO MAES THIS IS NOT HIS FIRST GOLD MEDAL. HE HAS 4 GOLD MEDALS ON THE YEAR AND HE ALWAYS WRESLTERS VERY HARD. HE IS A FIRST YEAR WRESTLER AND WE ASKED HIM TO MOVE UP TO A GROUP TO HELP US EARN A SILVER IN THE DAN GABLE CONTEST. HE DID SO WITHOUT HESITATION. EMILIO IS NOW ON HIS WAY TO JOINING THE DURAN ELITE TEAM AND WILL DO SO NEXT WEEK. EMILIO YOUR HARD WORK NEVER FALLS SHORT AND YOUR HEART IS BIGGER THAN YOUR BODY. PRIDE IS WHAT YOU HAVE
GREAT JOB Dakota! – All your hard work paid off! One teeny-tiny point away from tying the National Champ…..Still….. we are all very proud of you. And we are also very grateful to ALL your Duran coaches, but especially to Robert and Joe – who had to stay later than almost every single other person at the tournament, just to be there for you. THANKS GUYS!
Just wanted to thank all the Duran family’s and staff for welcoming us to your team. Jessica and I are very happy to be part of the team. Our son as learned so much in the little time he has been with Duran. Thank you all and we appreciate everything you guys do for the kids.
